These days, more and more brides are opting for a simple, elegant cake without a lot of adornment. Our decorating style is characterized by elegant simplicity, and we prefer to discuss with you the style of your cake so that it will reflect your personal tastes.

We invite you to make an appointment to sit down with us, look through our portfolio and discuss ideas you may have. We'll happily arrange to provide taste samples with prior notice.


Prices:

    Cakes are priced by the serving.

      Base price: $6.50 / serving
      ** additional $ 1.00 / serving

    Each tier can be a different flavor at no extra charge. Price includes three layers of cake and two layers of filling per tier.

Delivery:

    Delivery and set up is $ 40.00 in the city. Outside of Seattle delivery is as quoted. We are more than willing to provide set-up instructions to a caterer or a designated driver picking up your cake.

When the first bakery opened in our space in 1938, mass produced mixes and hydrogenated oils didn't exist. Everything was made from scratch -- from fruit fillings to butter cream frosting. The bakery re-opened in 1999, combining scratch baking with a contemporary approach to classic recipes.

North Hill bakery uses the best ingredients and always bakes from scratch. The results are superior baked goods, served in a warm and friendly atmosphere. From cookies to wedding cakes, our customers count on our consistently outstanding goods and service.

Many wedding cakes are more for show than for taste, and we don't think that's right. You spend a lot of time and money to make your wedding day as perfect as you can -- you should have a cake that you and your guests will enjoy.

Golden Carrot Cake:
Spiced with ginger, and fluffy, not heavy. Classically filled with lemony cream cheese frosting.

Hazelnut Praline Cake:
Ground, toasted hazelnuts flavor this genoise torte. Layered with imported apricot preserves, Frangelico liqueur, pastry cream and praline buttercream.

Lemon Chiffon:
Light yet moist, it's an American classic. With plenty of lemon zest and layered with freshly made lemon curd and crisp meringue. Finished with a silky white lemon buttercream.

Chocolate Espresso Torte:
Rich dark chocolate sour cream cake layered with espresso ganache and finished with poured ganache and a delicate filigree design.

Chocolate Mousse Cake:
Not-too-sweet hazelnut genoise cake layered with rich chocolate mousse, finished either with whipped cream and chocolate shavings or a more sophisticated poured ganache.

Coconut Cake:
A Southern tradition. Layers of yellow butter cake, coconut pastry cream and soft, meringue icing is topped with a cloud of angel flake coconut.

Grandma's Chocolate Cake:
Three layers of dark, moist, chocolate cake, just like grandma used to make. Finished with dark chocolate icing.

before you meet with a baker

Please consider the following:

1. Maximum number of guests.
Numbers can be approximate until your RSVP's arrive. It helps us to get an idea based on invitations sent, and then revise it 7 - 14 days before the event.

2. Style and tone of your wedding.
Is it to be outdoors, formal or informal, etc? If you have a visual idea of the type of cake you want - photos,drawings, color swatches, etc. - bring these along.

3. How much food is planned for the reception?
This will have an impact on how much cake your guests will want to eat.

4. Where will the reception be held?
Will delivery assistance be necessary?

5. North Hill Bakery will issue a certificate for the 6" anniversary cake,
made for you on the date of your 1st anniversary.
